At the Ministry of Natural Resources, I supported program operations through dashboards, data validation, systems investigation, and workflow automation.

The business need

Monitor program submissions, application status, and regional performance, while working with inconsistent data and municipal documents in different formats.

My contribution

I developed Power BI dashboards connected to Dynamics 365 and Dataverse, and designed and tested an extraction workflow for 400+ municipal PDFs using Power Automate and AI Builder. I investigated discrepancies, documented technical processes, and presented the work to ministry management.

The work produced

Interactive reporting, a tested document-extraction workflow, and supporting documentation. The work involved consultation with ministry staff, managers, and IT colleagues.

The business need

Replace fragmented manual reporting with a clearer view of sales performance, labour efficiency, staff productivity, and operational KPIs.

My contribution

I developed the initial solution framework, contributed to building and validating the Python ETL pipeline and star-schema model, and supported Power BI dashboard and DAX development. I prepared the final report and presentation, bringing together technical documentation, data-quality findings, and recommendations.

The analytical approach

The model incorporated sales, labour, and historical pay-rate information so that operational measures could be analysed together.

A team project; this overview distinguishes my contributions from the wider solution.

I built a pop culture retail and e-commerce brand, using sales, demand, inventory, pricing, and expense information to make purchasing and operating decisions.

The business context

A specialty retailer serving 1,500+ monthly customers, with peak annual revenue exceeding BDT 6 million.

My responsibility

I managed transaction reconciliation, inventory controls, supplier coordination, and operational reporting. I recruited, trained, and led teams of up to 15 employees while overseeing daily operations.

The perspective I bring

I have been responsible for the decisions a report is meant to support: what to stock, how to price it, where to spend, and how to organise a team. That experience shapes the questions I ask as an analyst.

I’ve made the decisions.
Now I help inform them.

My path into analytics started with running a business. After studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Windsor, I returned to Bangladesh and founded Knock. Building a brand meant working with incomplete information, watching what customers responded to, and taking responsibility for the next decision.

I returned to Canada in 2024 and formalised that experience through Business Insights & Analytics at Humber Polytechnic. My Ontario Public Service placement added hands-on experience in reporting, automation, and working with stakeholders in a public sector setting.

Today, I’m looking for analyst opportunities where I can combine that technical foundation with an understanding of how businesses operate—particularly in business analysis, BI, operations, and growth.
